Original Sin

The problem with the original sin doctrine is that no where in the Hebrew Scriptures does it state that sin is separation from God––in those words.  What you will find in the Bible is that when Adam and Eve sinned, they brought death into the world (creation) to stay.  Therefore all mankind (Adam and Eve’s descendants) and all creation, became subject to death.  Death is the corruption and decay we see all around us.  Everything we know on this Earth––even the Earth––is not eternal and it will eventually deteriorate. God ordained that this corrupt creation would only last six thousand years, and that is why even the Earth seems to be dying (our governments call it Global Warming or Climate Change).

Adam and Eve were already subject to sin or they wouldn’t have sinned in the first place, so we cannot say that they brought sin into the world.  However, although sin was already here on the Earth because evil was already on the Earth, it did not manifest until Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  Therefore before Adam and Eve sinned, sin had not yet been introduced into God’s creation.  With it came death and destruction to all of God’s creation.

The Hebrew word for grace is chen (חנ), the ancient meaning is a fence of protection––that fence of protection is the Torah. Those who believe in God have a fence of protection from the heathen; and those who do not know God (those who do not know Torah) are fenced from those who do know Him and His Word.  So to be fenced from the heathen means to be protected by God.  What we call original sin, is actually original separation from God’s protection.  Sin was already here on Earth when Adam and Eve sinned.  This is the same as being separated from the heathen, and in turn the heathen are separated from God––those who believe and keep God’s Commandments are on one side of the fence, and the heathen (those who do not believe) are on the other side.

So you won’t find the actual English words separated from God in the Scriptures, in those words.  However, as you just read, it is definitely there.
